and when she says "yes", just say "aiight cool, I'll give you a call"
or if she says "no", just say "aiight cool, no problem. I'll find someone else"

Quickly is the best way.
Before she sets up with someone else...
I mean you could convince her to break that date if you want.
But someone will be pissed.

The prom is in 35-40 days. I think tickets go on sale in a little over a week or something. Hopefully I am asking within the right time frame.

Should I try to set up a group to go with right then, or do it later? I mean, it might be better to talk with my friend about setting up a group with him and his date after I ask my girl...
Also, thanks Akuma for the advice about not being nervous. That should help!
The sooner the better. The key is to just not think too much. Just do it.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
Lol, I'm sure I'm overthinking this. I'm sure she likes me as a friend. (dunno if she has a crush or not)
I''ll just ask her tomorrow after school.
Thanks guys!
no not right then. That's why you say "I'll give you a call" so you can set up plans later. But first, you need to lock that down.

I see her every day at school. Should I just set up plans the next day, or actually call her at home? I think if I called I would call the day after so I could set up plans with my friends to try to form some sort of group.
once you get the commitment, then you can take your time to work out plans with friends over the next week or so. Most will plan on going as a group to a really nice restaurant; or they all pitch in to get a limo or something.
