I've come to the conclusion that FFXIII was actually never a real game.
The higher-up Square executives all had a meeting and some one eventually said"Hey,you know what would really piss off our fanbase? Showing them a game that will never happen,so they can drool and buy our other shitty game's while anticipating it's release.And we'll keep this going for as long as we can.At least until they figure our scheme out"
I'm on to you Square.
