The Xbox 3 mite not come out until Nov 2012, but Im hoping Nov 2011.

If next gen dont start in Nov 2012, consoles will be outrun by PCs far too much.

I think he means in the overall sense.  SCE is already posting quartly profits for this generation, but that's on the heels of a lot of red quarters.

I actually think he's contradicting himself a little with that statement -- by not doing a lot of new R&D, Sony's profits will grow much faster this generation, than the last, and will probably appear much greater (per unit in consumer hands) than the PS2 era, as it was overshadowed by radical/new PS3 development.  I would wager 2013 will probably be the break-even point.  2015 seems a stretch.

It's not like there are a tonn of kick ass PC only games that would want to make gamers migrate from their console to their PC...

Console success and piracy have ensure the PC will not be influencing the next console migration.

i've always thought there would be one more round of consoles and then no more......everything is pointing to upgrades
