Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords basically had you running around with Nietzsche in the form of Kreia, and every single major character was like an expression of his concepts.

God almighty that was a good game.

Final Fantasy VI is better. Xenogears 2nd. Because the soundtracks in Xenogears is shorter than those in FFV, and level design is not good enough.

Xenogears had the potential to be the greatest RPG of all time, but it suffers from fundamental flaws that keep it from being all that high on the list. Some of these weren't even really the fault of the devs: when Square pulls your funding and you've only just barely finished the first disc, what can you do?
