Forums - Gaming - Who has the best fall lineup? Category=Shooter

360 wins cause of Halo 3 and Bioshock, but the 360 and PS3 both have really good shooter lineups this year.

Both have COD 4 and HL 2 wich will both be amazing and two of the best shooters ever and game of the year contenders probably.

360 has Bioshock and Halo 3 and PS3 has Unreal Tournament III.

Wii is not even in the competition.

Also Bioshock > Crysis
UT III > Crysis
HL 2 > Crysis
CoD 4 > Crysis
Halo 3 > Cyrsis

So many games are better than Crysis, most of 'em are coming to PC as well.

I'd put Crysis ahead of Halo 3 and CoD 4, imo.

Also, Bioshock came out a few weeks ago now, didn't it?  Isn't that a little early for "fall.?"

Around the Network

You still need the table and chair for the keyboard and mouse. That's the hassle. Unless you've routinly got a giant table infront of your TV. The few houses i've seen with a table in their living room is a coffee table that would be way too low for a keyboard.

It is far more annoying to move your PC because you still have to have the keyboard and mouse. You add speaker connections and everything else to the keyboard and mouse move.

I have an extra keyboard and mouse for my PS3, so I wouldn't have to move that. Anyway, moving my PC is a hassle and not something I'm going to do every time I want to play. I currently have my computer hooked up to a monitor and TV in my bedroom, but for big screen I need the living room.

But whatever, the main point is keyboard and mouse support. With those, all versions are equal besides mods, which UT3 will have for the PS3.

Strange - I don't need to move anything, seeing that I have a media center PC right next to my HDTV. You know, it's a setup kinda like... having a PS3 next to your HDTV...

What's really strange is I also have spare wireless keyboard, mouse, remote control and gamepad for that PC.

What is outrageously strange is that with a surround sound speaker setup already hooked up to the receiver alongside the HDTV, I didn't have to add or remove or otherwise move any speakers - at all!

And! Strangeness FTW! Given that the PC I have sitting next to my HDTV is roughly the same size as a 360, which also happens to be a tad bit smaller than the PS3, I think it would actually be more inconvenient to haul a PS3 up to the LCD hooked up to my gaming PC!

Finally, and don't quote me on this, but it's been rumored that the PC version will actually allow you to adjust, among other things, the level of graphic detail, Anisotropic filtering, Full-scale Anti-alisasing, physics detail, and *gasp!* what's more, you might actually be able to game at a higher resolution than 1080p (what's the PS3's UT3 resolution capped at?), and give you framerates well over 60fps (what's the PS3's UT3 framerate capped at?)!!!

So yeah, like you said, all versions are equal!

I can't speak for most people, but I do have a PC sitting next to my HDTV - and it's whisper quiet, too. There is no difference between moving your PC to your HDTV or moving your PS3 to your LCD - especially when the PS3 is comparably the same size as a mATX PC, and especially when the PS3 weighs similarly to a mATX PC.

And who said anything about building a computer? Ever ordered online a fully-built computer? So, whatever crap you are mentioning, you may just as well keep in your pocket or wherever else you may store "crap".

A lot of people don't classify their PCs as gaming PCs... but a lot of people do! Your point being...?

Just because it doesn't suit you, it doesn't mean that there isn't a growing market for home theater PCs.

Show me where I professed any hatred towards UT3. I love UT - it's probably the best twitch shooter out there, and will buy it day one when it's available. What I am pointing out is UT3 on the PS3 will NOT be the same as UT3 on the PC simply because it supports a mouse and keyboard. There will be, as with previous versions of UT, many configuration options for the PC that will put any console version to shame.

Oh, and your Halo comparison? Rubbish. Halo for the PC doesn't hold a candle to myriad FPSs available for the PC. I didn't think much of it when it was on the Xbox, and I certainly didn't think much of it for the PC either. If it were to miraculously appear on the PS3, I wouldn't consider it any worse. I simply don't like Halo.

You give me a break, and you stop with the hating. What I mentioned is absolutely true.
