Forums - Sony - IGN inFamous Karma System preview - awesome!

tbh I wasn't really excited about this game that much. thought it was just hyped up by "some" PS3 fanboys.

I didn't think that there was much to do especially in combat form the old trailers. It seems the only attacks you could do were the electric ball and the electric shock wave Bioshock style, but after seeing the slow motion trailer last week I was really interested in Infamous

Now that I have seen the Power ups trailer I'm officially hyped about this game. It seems that there is a lot of things you could do especially in combat and maybe even more in the full game I don't know

i just hope this game doesn't suffer from the sony exclusive syndrome where it sells below what it deserves. its a shame to see it happen to good games :s

killzone sold like 320 on 2 days for ps3. that means if it was on 360 it would had sold like 640 in 2 days. cause of the double the 360 install base. therefore killzone sold really good. and i bet this will too. remember only 8 million on us, so........yeah.

Putting the Box back in Ninlen!

this game was a blip on my radar, but it seems to be growing bigger with everything new I I find out about it.

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

It's really not a good idea of neither sony nor ubisoft to release infamous and prototype so close to eachother. I think both are going to be stealing sales from eachother.

While back ago I read that it was about 10 hours long, which is the only thing that really worries me.

What I hope is that even after the game is done, you could run around the whole city and still find tons of random enemies to fight or some other things to do. I got completely bored of Fallout 3 after 40 hours, and I still had tons of things left to do. I'm still only like lvl12. I think it was probably the fact that it becomes a abit harder to bigger fights as you progress and kill most people in the game.

The visuals look really good so far. The explosions are nice. Does anyone know how many fps this game is running at?

I can't say I'm too excited about this game yet - KZ2 made it hard for me to get hyped about most games (it was kind of a dissapointment, and I was stoked about it). It's easy to talk about features and make them ridiculously awesome, but they could easily end up being crap. If the game does end up being as good as it looks and has some decent replay value, it might end up being a day-one buy for me.

EDIT: I probably shouldn't be quick to judge the likely 10-hour length (main quest I'm guessing). GTA4 took me about 40 hours to finish the first time and while it was fun, it was also loaded with tons of boring moments and some side-quest material. I'm still hoping that it'll be easy to find some action once you've beaten Infamous though - it'd be nice to just jump on a train to some random area and take on hordes of enemies. The combat and all those explosions do look really fun. Sometimes I forget how much I like explosions. I think I should add more explosions to my sig...
