I'm basing my info on the IGN release dates as they stand from yesturday, 9/3. Things can change; I know. My differentiation between genres may not suit your style perfectly; so fine. I will not be including Playstation 2 because it's last gen, so too bad. Do the work yourself if it's that critical.

Now that all of that is out of the way, here's the point. It's hard to say which system is always the best, because sales do not necessarily entail quality, and gems can pop up on even the most awful of consoles. I'm gonna go genre by genre and show the fall lineup. You guys then discuss who rules in that area. If the release dates get updated by new games added or pushed into next fall, we can reconvene and decide again what that means for each console. I have taken a few liberties by not adding any games specifically for children, such as Spongebob and Ben 10, and will not include any games that have to do with hunting because I figure no one wants to argue over that anyways. If I'm offending any hunting game fans, too bad. Spend your money more wisely in the future. So without further ado...

PS3 has nothing but a a patch for Tekken 5 for online and a rumored patch for Virtua Fighter 5, so it's out of the competition. 360, by getting VF5 is getting one hell of a massive fighter, especially with online. Fatal Fury Special speaks volumes too. I still love that game. Wii however has got the real fighting fans dream package. VC will be here in the fall by SNK, even though we still don't have word on which ones yet. I'm sure some will be fighters though. They have Guilty Gear XX Accent Core which is addictive like crack, and then they have a little title by the name of Smash Bros Brawl. Wii undoubtedly wins in my humble opinion.

Smash is the only game on that list that fits the "system seller" status. But then again, asside from that game, there really aren't nearly as many fighter fans as their used to be. Games like Tekken and Virtua Fighter used to be some of the heaviest hitters in the industry. Funny how much game tastes can change over time.

Virtua Fighter, Naruto, and DBZ are all going to be big (with Virtua Fighter being the biggest of those three) but none of them are going to compare to SSBB sales wise.

Also I thought the PS3 was getting VF5?

PS3 already got VF5. I think the 360 is also getting a Naruto game, but I don't know if it's fighting or not?

 I wasn't really looking at doing this at a sales perspective. It's more like, if I'm a fighting game fan, which console has my gaming needs in mind. I realize Guilty Gear won't sell a thing, but it's an awesome series regardless.

I think the Wii wins this one...

Wii. The boy will probably want Guilty Gear and I'll be getting Smashies.

Isn't the PS3 getting some reworked Street Fighter 2 game on PSN?

 The 360 Naruto is adventure platformer.  But ontopic Wii easily.  If I can play as Wolf in VF5 heck yes I will be getting that game.

Wii. SSB is the most fun i've ever had kicking people's asses. It will also sell like crazy.
