Well you aren't the only HM fan, that's for sure. Incidentally, if you love HM, I highly recommend you either get a Wii or a DS. Rune Factory on the DS is my favorite Harvest Moon. It even passed HM:FoMT on GBA and HM:BtN on the PSone. Not only is it great, but it has a sequel comming to the DS and another sequel comming to the Wii. It's a most own for HM fans. |
which console has innocent life on it? Anyways theres a rumor that Natsume might be making a new Harvest Moon on the PS3. |
Innocent Life was on PSP, but it's my least favorite Harvest Moon since A Wonderful Life on GC. You end up automating all the farm stuff (destroying the charm) and the game has too much exploration. It doesn't balance it out, and eventually farming all but disappears from the game in favor of exploration. The futuristic setting makes everything developed and modern, taking away from rustic charms of the previous game. It also was a sales flop, so no sequels will be comming out, other than a special edition for PS2 (which is a port of the PS2 game with some extra features).
Also I wouldn't be too hopeful for HM for PS3:

So, with that being your vision, is it safe to assume a game of that depth on PS3 to be the next step for the series?
Wada: There are no plans to do anything on PS3 right now.
If it was my choice I would like to make Harvest Moon for all the platforms, but there are many reasons why I can't, such as limited resources, budget, business opportunities and so on.
Plus, Nintendo as a company has been very good to me, always very helpful, friendly and supportive, and that's another reason why we chose to stick with Nintendo and develop a game on Wii.
