"Sony is also promising that four currently unannounced titles will join these 36 games in playable form, bringing the list up to 40. What are the identities of these titles? Well if we knew, they wouldn't exactly be announced now, would they?

In addition to these playable titles, Sony's booth will house a theater showcasing video footage of over 50 PS3 games. The booth will also highlight the non-gaming side of the system, allowing interested parties to sample the latest firmware update."

Umm I was expecting a lot of new titles we haven't seen before, especially since it's Japan. Where are all the Japanese third party publishers' games? 9 or 10 playable games from them, wth?

These are just the games that will be playable in the Sony booth. They won't announce new titles until the event itself so we will have to wait and see what else Sony has in store.

I am hoping that Konami/Kojima will have Metal Gear Solid 4 playable as well but we will have to wait and see on that one as well. We already know that S-E are showcasing Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII so this should be an interesting TGS to say the least.

Rise from Lair is the Japanese name for LAIR.

Good good list Sony is really pulling out all the stops with these games and alot of them are 1st and 2nd party which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Advantage of good 1st and 2nd party support:
They show they can support themselves if no 3rd partys will.
Disadvantage of good 1st and 2nd party support:
Could scare some 3rd partys away.

The point of putting some games that have been released is because they havent been released in JPN yet.
