''Console'' means you need controller and TV to play it. ''Handheld'' means you can play it in your hands without TV.

And i followed sales in Japan lately, so i think handhelds are selling better than consoles, at least this generation.

The Gameboy is the strongest brand name IMO. People still call the DS a Gameboy...

@BladeOfGod: Don't you think you're cherrypicking a little? I mean if you're going by sales numbers, Nintendo is still beating Playstation, it already had been making gaming systems 20 years before Sony introduced Playstation. Brand isn't consistent, it's changing all the time. What it was a while ago is irrelevant to what it is today. During last gen, we could had made the claim about Nintendo being stronger brand, just by judging the history, but that wouldn't be true.

Ok, so you're judging it by Japan, but as for making your claim as a general one; why is Wii and DS switching between the first place in weekly sales and PSP usually being at the last spot in worldwide saler if the handhelds are easier to sell? Both, DS and PSP, should be in the top spots each weeks if they would be easier to sell.

What with them owning it an all. I still remember playing Pokemon Gold (Gameboy color title) on my Gameboy. Good times.

A handheld is still a console. It merely put the entire package into one singular unit. The full name for handhelds is supposed to be handheld game console and the consoles we refer to as such are refered to as video game consoles or home consoles.

  GameBoy Colour had HUGE upgade. It HAD COLOURS. PSP, PSP-2000, PSP-3000 are not so diffrent . Game Boy colour is totaly diffrent and much more better than original GameBoy. PSP-2000, PSP-3000 are not.

And i remember playing Pokemon Ruby Version on my GBA. The first and only RPG i loved. ( thinking of instaling GBA emulator on my PSP )
