4.5 million sold to retailers (shipped to retailers)! When will people learn?

They only ship 500k at a time. So it would at the very least be in the 4-4.5 million mark, so either way it would not be 3.9 million. It's said that a little over 500k bundles were sold, which would put it in that mark. That was annouced in January. In January they had MGS4 marker as a little over 3.5 million, and Konami stated 4.5 million sold to retailers, 500k shipped at a time, since they VgChartz counts 400k sold, so it's either right at the 4.5 million mark, and konami will ship more.

Frankly why wouldn't the Wii sell the most games? The Wii has about 20 million more owners. Also the games are cheaper and are often found in the bargin bin. I mean you can find some of the best Wii games for like $10-20 bucks brand new.

Here's a better question, why doesn't the Wii sell much more games than the 360?

It does. Wii software is at 281 million while 360 is at 218 million, despite being out for over a year longer.

Well you aren't exluding Wii Play and Wii Fit. If those games were sold seperate they would have sold a much smaller fraction.

If we would exclude all bundles, both Wii and 360, Wii still has sold the most software.

And don't you mean Wii Sports instead of Wii Fit?

Also, the "despite being out for over a year longer" comment. You gotta bear in mind during that time the PS2, original XBox, and Gamecube were still putting out popular games and were dirt cheap consoles. But is this really new information to you?

No offense, but what's the point you're trying to make? I completely lost it.

Yeah, I mean Wii Sports. Eitherway the bundle numbers for the 360 games are MUCH smaller than the Wii Sports and Wii Play combined numbers. And like I pointed out, the Wii SHOULD be selling more games because they are cheaper and the Wii has sold about 20 million more consoles.

Its too bad Sony didn't include some mini games with the PS2, it could have sold about a 120 million copies. And maybe 200 million copies if they included it with a controller.

I'm pointing out the first year the 360 was released wasn't going to be great because people were still playing old consoles.
