Jill's move is just really hard to land. I've missed it myself a zillion times.

Yup, Tyrant super is tough to land.

One of the best supers in the game and you hardly see it due to literally nobody falling for it

Oh well, back to lousy proton cannons i guess lol.

Don't buy the Prince of Persia DLC unless you want to pay out for Anger Management sessions >

I've gotta remember the input for Akuma's instant near death kill move. I know its something like a punch punch forward punch kick... I'm just not sure though.

@seece: PoP DLC is probably the biggest waste of 800 ms points I've spent. A short, repetitive rehash, adding nothing new and taking away the best part of the game (the pretty colors and views you'd get after clearing lands). But at least I got 250 gs out of it. :)

Raging demon is light punch, light punch, foward, light kick, fierce punch. I've actually never seen it done in MvC2...in fact I don't know anyone who really uses Shotokans in that game. I might get this game, but I know I'm gonna get hate mail, my team and playstyle is superbly lame and cheap ><.

Akuma's "firecracker" (hey, thats what we called it back in the day in the rough, tough arcades in yorkshire) is pretty hard to do in the xbla version of MVC2.

I used to tap LP, LP, F + LK literally together then HP in the arcades and it came out no problem.

I have nailed it only a couple of times on xbla, the first time nailing it took a while, but the second time came not long after the 1st.

At a steady pace (no need to input it too fast) i did LP, LP, F (by itself) LK, HP.

Another problem is that the move hardly has any distance in MVC2 (Akuma only slides across the screen for like 12 feet then its gone)

@ Graham

You should get it buddy, your may think your team is a bit on the cheap side, but then again so is probably 70% of other peoples teams.

(Spidey, Cable and say Ironman for example)

Eh I do use Cable....and I have Captain Commando as a pure assist and Sentinel that I fly around and kick people with. If my buddy Ricki Nelson former MvC2 Pro comes over than I'll probably have to get it to shut him up.

Anywho is anyone playing Splosion man multiplayer I need someone to pair up with playing random peeps on Live doesn't work out><

Haha. I am pretty much married to the chainsaw. If you check my stats, I'm sure it would be some ridiculous ratio of chainsaw to shotgun kills... like 20:1.

That's pretty sad heh. If you chainsawed me more than 3 times in a match I would personally find out where you lived and help you marry a coffin. I wouldn't want to be proud of that if I were you. You'll never be able to really get good in the game if you never learn how to properly aim with the shotgun and hipshot with it, not to mention the sniper/torque bow.

I don't want to say I'm really good in the game but since noone else can I will ;). I generally finish highest in any game that isn't completely laggy and the breakthrough came during the first Gears when I mastered the hip shooting with the shotgun and quickly sniping people. A chainsaw isn't something you want to have in a match now unless it's going to be really laggy. Anybody with a hammerburst should be able to destroy you. Anyways you can check your stats on gearsofwar.com here's mine. It's worth noting I almost always play with randoms so the fact I have a positive win/loss ratio is amazing to me. Kill/Death ratio is my proudest achievement though, don't think there's many people you'll find much higher.

Games Played 1,108
Wins 615
Losses 493
Win/Loss Ratio 1.25
Kills 18,134
Deaths 7,053
Kill/Death Ratio 2.57
Games Without Dying 116

Graham, you should definitely get it. Me and Ronster have been having a blast. Tonight was 6-4, my favor, but he definitely gave me a much closer run for my money. I have no doubt with an arcade stick in his hands I would be done for.

Anyway, you really shouldn't be worried about cheapness. It doesn't really matter when skill comes into play. Cable maybe the cheapest character there is, but if you know his moves then anticipating and avoiding them are child's play.

Plus, ANY character in the hands of a skilled player can rock out. I don't know anyone who would say Rogue is cheap but in my hands she is a force of nature. It just depends on what you know and who you play. But I don't really understand people who all say the game is unbalanced. I've probably played a couple thousand matches in my life, if not more, and I would never call this game unbalanced. There is just a sheer large amount of characters for it to be unbalanced. For every overpowered Cable gunning character there is another character that can own him. I don't even pick my team with the other person's choices in mind. I just say, hey, I want this character and pick them. All in all if you understand the basics of gameplay, fair use of blocking, dashing and super jumping... hell, you don't even need to know all of a character's moves to be effective.

But yeah, I have a feeling I'll be playing this for a long while. Just the fact that it runs so flawlessly online could keep me going. So if you get it Graham, I'm down for some play, for sure.
