I've been playing a lot of Gears of War 2 lately and I'm close to getting all the achievements. Is anyone else getting the Dark Corners maps?

Hey that sounds like me ;_; I don't have any fluff games though some of the games I play are achievement easy Eat Lead, Ghostbusters, etc, I always at least set the difficulty to the max I can. Starting to actually look foward to what you'll say next, the messages always crack me up. Especially that Bionic Commando one :>


Oh no, i bought Eat lead on thursday from play.com (still awaiting delivery) because it was only £9.99 in their sales.

Seems like the game got mixed reactions............. some loved it's humour and gameplay, some said it's a tedious game, whats your take on it graham?

I'm about 3/4 through the game.  I found its humour pretty good.  The cover system is actually great...  The AI needs work though...  And the story is pretty much blah...  But I found the game decent.  Not great...  for 10 pounds I'd buy it again...  The achievements rack up pretty quickly...

Thanks for the insight Neo.

I have liked quite a few FPS's this gen that didn't score too well with the critics (Prey, Quake 4 ect)

Perhaps Eat lead will be another.

I agree with Neo it's not that bad of a game, the gameplay doesn't shine and the main points going for it would definitely be the humor and voiceacting, and maybe the supersoaker weapons. Be warned Halo fans Master Chief gets owned hard....

It's 3rd person huh, oh, was sure i saw first person screenshots.

It still cost's around £18 in most places so will play it and trade it (might even make all my money back)

@ Graham, i'm a Halo fan, but humour is humour regardless. (like when Duke see's doom's main character and say's "that's one doomed space marine")

I would have liked Quake 4 more if had played smoother. There's no reason for that game not to run exceptionally good when you see what id is doing now. It was clearly rushed. Quake 2 was a nice addition but it was hard to play when you were all excited about the 360's other games.

Anyone who plays the harder difficulty level on NG2 gets my props. I am still damn proud of just beating the game. A lot of people gave up on it. Honestly I'm not sure I would want to push myself through such rigorous training to suffer the harder levels. Same with Devil May Cry 4.

I would imagine my true achievements wont be that impressive.
