I've had two different Logitech ones and they both have been really good, the only complaint I've had with them is the software that comes with them that you have to use.  It's some of the worst designed software I've ever seen.  The remotes themselves have been great.

It's quite annoying that it doesn't work with universal remotes, but bluetooth is truly far superior. I have the Philips Pronto, so it wont work, but the official PS3 remote is really good, and actually the triggers on the dualshock are fantastic for fastforwarding

Alright, fair enough. Well Frankly I'm not one who uses them much myselves so i haven't ventured into that whole area a lot :p I like to use the original products. :p

No, having a stupid design by not including IR port on PS3 = Fact

It's suppose to be a media center for your living room at least according to Sony.   So not having IR port so it would work with other equipments in your media center is pretty asinine I think.
