So since people have this crazy idea I hate everything PS3 and I'm always negative, here are some tihngs I like about my PS3:

Upscaled DVD's

No brainer here, I like movies and I like it when they look better.  I also like it when I don't have to buy the BluRay versions to have a good looking movie.  The PS3 does a beautiful job of upscaling my DVD's and making them look good.

BluRay player

What's better than an upscaled DVD?  A BluRay movie!  I didn't buy into the whole HD format at first because 1) wanted to wait for a winner and 2) I wasn't sure of the difference but now I like BluRay movies.  I still don't think the difference is huge on most movies for me at least and I definately don't buy these at full price ever, but I constantly look at Best Buy and Amazon for deals and love getting deals on them whenever I can.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

I really liked this game.  I didn't like it for its gameplay (which was good) and I didn't like it for its graphics (which were really good), I liked it for its over the top 80's Romancing the Stone story.  They nailed that whole mood with this game and made it one of my favorite games.

Dead Space

Yeah, it's not an exclusive but since I'm praising my PS3 and good experiences I've have on and with it I might as well bring this game up.  While I didn't get more than a few hours into it (it's still on my list) I loved every second of the game.  The atmosphere was incredible/

Killzone 2

Another game I haven't gotten far in but I'm just blown away from the graphics and the gameplay isn't bad once you get the hang of the controls.  Can't say much more about the game because I just haven't played it much yet.

Little Big Planet

Most people know I ragged on this game about the community and I still do, but that doesn't change the fact this is a charming game, a decent platformer, and comes with an easy and fun to use level editor.

Resistance: Fall of Man

Ah, another thing people probably remember me ragging on.  Yes, I don't think this game deserves most of the praise it gets.  I don't think it looks all that amazing and the gameplay is nothing new, but on the bright side it is a fairly competent and pretty fun at times standard shooter.  Even with its flaws, I'm totally not upset I finally got around to finishing this game.

It's quiet

My PS3 doesn't sound like a jet engine-- 'nuff said.

I still don't get why people accuse you of hating just your PS3. You hate pretty much everything. I've never noticed you be particularly vocal about PS3, in comparison to other things.

People just assume because I don't like Home, FFXIII, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, get random bugs on Killzone 2, and hate things with short battery life that automatically means I hate the PS3.

What those people don't pay attention to is that I also hate things like friend codes, Grand Theft Auto IV, Pokemon, got a random game stopping bug on Bioshock for the 360, and one of the reasons I won't buy a DSi is because of the decreased battery life.

Yeah, I'm just surprised people are really cherry picking that much. Oh well, nice thread. If I ever pick up a PS3, Uncharted will no doubt be my first game.

You know that the decreased battery life of the DSi is only an issue on the highest setting, which the DS Lite doesn't have an equivalent to? If you go one or two settings lower (into reasonable DSL territory no less) it actulaly has equivalent or better battery life.

Though the fact that this is only "one" reason kind of moots my pointing this out, I suppose.

These are great things to hear! I knew myself you didn't hate PS3 just to hate it. You just like to speak your mind about all things you may or may not dislike.

I myself have shown and impressed many 360 people with the features of the PS3. Also it worked the other way around where my friends showed me the great things about the 360. Currently I am saving up money so I can purchase a 360 Elite (+games) and my friends that were impressed with the PS3 mostly said they are just waiting for one more price cut so they can buy the bigger hard drive PS3 since it has a couple more things than the cheapest model. One of my friends even picked up a 60g PS3 at his school for $150 and that is a steal.

In the future I see many 360 fans picking up PS3 because they know it has some good games they want and the same for PS3 fans.

Good exclusives will sell systems and the PS3 and 360 have their fair share of them. So in the end both systems will coexist, even in America.
