weak disjointed story? lacking characterizations?

I'm disappointed that S-E would let the above happen. We all know they can and have done better in the storytelling aspect. It didn't completely ruin my interest since I liked the battle system from what I played of the PC version but still...

Gamespot says

"The story is epic, though Rush himself isn't the most interesting leading man. Fortunately, his supporting cast is excellent; the noble David is a charmingly haughty presence, and David's guard Emma makes a strong impression, thanks to some excellent, emphatic voice acting."

I'd trust that, Gamespot is usually picky with stories, so I wouldn't doubt if they say the story is great

I consider IGN to be a lot more credible than Gamespot.

I dunno, I think both sites are good, unlike what everyone says, I think that Gamespot is usually fair with JRPGs

And RPGFan said

"There are also political overtones throughout the whole game, similar to Final Fantasy XII. The Last Remnant sets itself apart from Final Fantasy XII with a unique world and varying races much like the viera and bangaa were in Ivalice. It still feels like FFXII at times, but I don't think that's a bad thing."

Which is good, 'cause I liked FF12

I have to agree with Riachu I felt the story was rather bland and the characters weren't interesting to me at all. But hey I didn't enjoy FF12, so I'm sure Zexen will have fun with it

The XBox360 version had only English voice acting, but i would prefer the Japanese.

How is the Japanese voice acting?

IGN>>>>>>>>>>>Gamespot

Especially after the Kane and Lynch situation. GS lost all credibility with me.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

if u gonna get the pc version might wanna check this out:

http://kotaku.com/5177713/the-last-remnant-on-pc-has-a-shaky-launch

the game is authenticated and activated via Valve's Steam service. And for some reason, the game isn't out yet on Steam (and won't be until April 9).

So when you try and authenticate the game, Steam shoots you back the terribly unhelpful message:

The Last Remnant has not been officially released, and cannot be unlocked at this time. Please check Steam news to find out the release time. Steam will notify you when the game becomes unlocked.

it's already fixed, and apparently it wasn't the first time that happened., which sucks even more. combined with the recent UT3 problems, I guess they are having a tough time at Valve. we had 3 releases one after another requiring Steam, and one game free weekend. and there was the problem with Valve games and the "invalid steam key" shit.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Gamespot > IGN.

And it seems like without technical flaws TLR is a great game.

Based on the demo, the Japanese VA is very good.

And anyways, you may prefer IGN, but I loved the demo, so I'm giving this one a try
