The wii has been bad for gaming. alienating the hardcore and turning the gaming market into casual gamers. This is a disaster with the way things are going expect Wii hunting and Tea drinking coming soon.

yep new customers is bad for any industry

Mario and Zelda are still alive. I was just talking to Luigi on the pone a little while ago.

Look no has dared said this yet but the wii controls aside is basically playstation 2.5. The majority of the ps2 library was just family game shovel ware and it was under powered compared to the competition. Nintendo have looked at the success of the ps2 and copied the formula and took it to the next level. Sony even proved with the eye toy that casuals like controlling games differently and again Nintendo followed up on that with wii remote. Thanks to the foundations of the ps2 and the house Nintendo built on it, gaming is for the first time an acceptable pass time by most people and game sale are through the roof.
Lastly what really annoys me is that last gen most people abandoned Nintendo couldn’t care less and now these same people are saying it is Nintendo who have abandoned them. I think it’s great that we have three successful companies all offering something a little bit different.
Just enjoy games for what they are
