First i would like to congraulate Sony and the PS3 for selling 21.16 MILLION,Playstation 3 Computer Entertainment system,with a pricetag of 399$.

Now i would like to address people saying PS3 needs a pricecut and Sony is d00m3d!I would like to disagree,and while it is indeed being outsold by the 360,it has actually managed to outsell the Xbox 360 a few weeks ago,this to me,does not indicate a failing system,They are moving Units at a high price tag,They do NOT need a pricecut,i am sure they could do without a pricecut until 2010-2012(The end of the console war).

As to being outsold by the Xbox 360,honestly Who cares? Are multiplat games selling 10x better on the Xbox 360?No only a few million,that shows even an 8 million gap people are still buying the PS3 version just as much as the PS3 version,and in some cases the PS3 version outsells the 360 version.

Now onto a touchy subject PS3 exclusives,I think the PS3 has some good exclusives (Few intrest me tho)but the PS3 appeals to many genres,Sure PS3 Exclsvs dont sell 6 million but who cares? I found out that R2 is more fun than the highly acclaimed Gears of War 2,but yet people bash this game,Why its awesome! The only negative thing i can say about PS3 exclsvs is that they are over hyped,even Halo 3 didnt recieve this mutch attention nor Mk:Wii.

So people there you have it,PS3 is NOT failing,the PS3 is doing GOOD,Sony does NOT need to cut the price of the PS trey,and this is coming from a "Xbox 360 Fanboy".

As of 3/20/2009, the PS3 has 21.4% of the current generations' market share. Those who have one are happy to have it, and they're not stupid for owning one.

However, relative to the other consoles, the PS3 is doing quite poorly, regardless of its price point.

Compared to the Wii yes,Compared to the 360 no.

ot: nice read and i agree with you but i still think something needs to be done about the game sales. most the amazing games do not sell as well as the should ( KZ2, R2, Uncharted, MS:PR and Valkyri Chronicles).

fair enouhh they arent profiting from the ps3 and they can't afford a price drop, but if they would market their games right, they may make more profit from sw sales. there are no excuses fot it. how can only 1.2mill ps3 owners from 21mil buy the most hyped sony game this gen? hw cn the other just say 5mil nt knw or care about the games existence?

sony needs to pull their finger out of their bum and sort out their marketing. with the potential of good they can do, they have done more wrong. the ps3 eye has been left useless, the dance mats are awol, they do not own an exclusive beat em up anymore, gt5 is still being made after almost half a decade, where the awesome ps2 ports on psn? where are the games that cn fully utilise the 6axis? where are the fun light gun games? even a hd remix of point blank will be a good starting point.

Let me phrase this a different way then. The average console should have 33.3% market share. So, you can say that both the PS3 and 360 are doing poorly, the PS3 a little more so.
