Forums - Nintendo - No Consideration of Core Pokemon Entry on Wii!

All I want is XD Gale of Darkness 2.

Then I'll be a happy man.

Pokemon on consoles never felt like a real Pokemon game honestly. It never did (and almost couldn't possibly) follow the core mechanics of Pokemon that started it all. I think it would be pretty much impossible.

Now I'm hopeful that they'd make a good core Pokemon game that is actually somewhat fun and innovative, but not made as a Pokemon cash-in.

 What are you implying..

Also I hope this shuts people up with MMO garbage..

I meant that they're going to try and use the cameras and special DSi features to make a new Pokemon game, and hopefully it's a core title (like Red, Blue, Gold, Sapphire, Pearl etc.) and not like Pokemon Snap which I would consider a "Pokemon cash-in".

And I really hope it shuts up that MMO bull as well.

lol thats a slap in the face
i guess nitendo isnt the money grubbing company i thought it was
though i do have to commend them for sticking with what they believe
its also nice that nitendo lets there first party do what they want

1.) Game Freak is a second party developer

2.) Pokemon honestly doesn't feel like Pokemon when it's not handheld.  The Stadium Games and Snap are great but they're just supplements to the handheld games.  If anything, XD: Gale of Darkness and Colleseum shows how 'well' the formula would translate.

3.) lol, making profit makes a company 'money grubbing.'

Pixel Art can be fun.

It's not as if they can't make an MMO for the DS/i. The only problem I could think of would be servers to store data and what not.

Snap is actually pretty good.  I wouldn't mind a Snap 2 on DS.  But foremost, I'd love a Pokemon ______ version with a camera though I would imagine they'd need moderators to make sure random people don't go around showing children pictures of their penises and whatnot.

No... and i would say that i'm sorry, but I'm really not. That was such a disappointing game for me. I grew up on the core Pokemon games, it was the game that actually got me into playing video games in general (besides smash bros.).

I can respect that.  It's a simple game that does get repetitive fast but for what it's worth, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
