You might remember some "people" claiming that PS3 was the next Gamecube....

Well guess what, the PS3 is about to outsell the Gamecube.

It took the Gamecube 5 years to sell 21.77 million units. Its original pricetag was $199.

In half that time the PS3 has sold 21.3 units. Its original pricetag was $599.

So in half the time at three times the price PS3 has outsold the Gamecube.

Ahhh it feels good to debunk long standing FUD. PS3 fans enjoy. 

Ps. In case you were wondering the PS3 has outsold the Saturn and the Dreamcast combined.

But I agree it doesn't mean much, the Gamecube was a disaster on many levels. But that is also why it's good to leave it in the dust, and not be associated with it at all anymore.

gamecubes worst region was EU where PS3 outsold its LTD in a year

PS3 MAIN good thing is still EU

I disagree even today some of the best Wii games are very similar to Gamecube games. Gamecube was quality. Just got overlooked.
