the premiership is growing to be so huge. i wonder if there's some way to find out the revenue all its clubs pull in each year, to compare with the other leagues, as well as american sports leagues (nfl, nba, mlb, nhl).

strangely, no figures on that page. from another source, the figure is $6 billion for the NFL, in 2006. that's $300 mln per team.
premiership: 07-08 estimate: 1.8bln pounds ~= 3.6 bln US. that's $180mln per team. (06-07: 1.4bln pounds). (apparently, 1.4bln is already 40% higher than the next, serie A)
the growth is phenomenal for the premiership! no wonder all these people are trying to get a hold of the teams! (man u, liverpool, west ham, man city, and now arsenal perhaps) (chesea is more like a pastime for abromavich)

selling henry i agree is good business. i'm surprised how well the team has held up. i thought they'll be crumbling by now... wenger might very well be the most astute squad builder in the permiership.
