Forums - Microsoft - Problem with purchasing Microsoft Points

I purchased 1600 Microsoft Points, put in the code and it tells me that it will be added to my account.  But it didnt add point to my account and when I try the code again it says its invalid (because its already been registered).

Has this happened to anyone before and do you know how long it will take customer support to fix it?

I am about to purchase points for Fable 2 dlc now thanks to this I am having second thoughts...

Best to call Xbox support. I've never had a problem adding points. Just make sure you purchase points for your region since US point cards don't work on non US accounts etc.

Might have something to do with this.

i've never had that problem.

Microsoft is always trying to steal our money somehow.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

I have bought 100,000's of thousands of points...

The only issue I had is when I went to Toys R Us with a 20% off XBox accessories sale and bought 10 x 2,800 points... There is a limit to how many cards you can redeem per day. I think it is 3...

Jeez louiz Neo, or should I call you Bill Gates?

Looks like Xboxlive is having billing issues.

http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/03/19/xbox-live-billing-issues.aspx

Currently, Xbox LIVE members may experience issues related to billing. That means difficulties with account recovery, account management, Marketplace functions and/or making purchases. Users who already have Microsoft Points in their account will be able to redeem them.  Until these issues are resolved, you will also be unable to sign in to Xbox.com, which includes posting in the forums and queuing up downloads on the Marketplace. All other areas of LIVE (matchmaking, friends lists, messaging etc.) are not affected.

The engineers are actively working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. Keep an eye on the Xbox LIVE Status page in the support section of Xbox.com which will be updated when conditions change.

Thanks for your patience.
