I so wanted to say that but I decided to wait for someone more popular to say it first. Also, Twilight Princess.
I was hoping we were at the point where we're no longer emotionally attached to the sixth gen consoles, and could just agree on Xbox>GC>PS2>>>DC

It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

Not Okami.
I think you just like that game a lot. Best PS2 graphics I've seen would be from Black (that shooting game).
But Okami graphics weren't even the best cell shaded graphics on the PS2. They sure as hell don't beat the Gamecube's Symphonia and Wind Waker. Symphonia's graphics would be considered a high end Wii game today.

not to play devils advocate, i agree with outlawauron, ps2 graphics were better than most games on the gamecube. there were only a few games on the GC that looked better than PS2 games. Such examples: RE4, RE0, RE, Windwaker, Twilight Princess.
I think we can make a direct comparison between Shadow of the Colosus and Twilight Princess and say TP comes out on top. Also, from a technical standpoint Okami looks like crap (great game, great art style, but...). Luigi's Mansion, a cube launch title, looks better than Okami, and most PS2 games for that matter.

Please.
Twilight Princess looked better than Shadow of the Colossus AND it managed to run at more than 5 FPS.

So a handful of games form the ps2 look better than most games on the GC, and a handful of GC games look better than most games on the ps2?
I don't really see hwo that proves either point.

Pfft. Shadow dipped no lower than 20fps from what I could tell.
Of course! Nintendo had to do things the way they did to be successful, but they've changed how the industry looks at gaming. By the end of this generation the new controls will be closer to standard than the old.
