 Thats the thing, he sets the expectations monumentally high.  As long as you play the game on its merits, they are always fantastic.  If Fable 2 is half as good as he says it will be, it will rival Mass Effect and Oblivion as the best RPG of this generation (so far, its quite possible another great game will come along) and it will have better graphics

That's cool,  I don't mind waiting (this is like GTA series for me, I like to play them, but if they are coming for PC, I would in no way purchase a console just to get it earlier)

Molyneux is considered one of the great designers of gaming for a reason, even though his games don't live up to his lofty goals they are usually fantastic games in their own right.  I'm not sure if fanboyism for another console is the reason some people in this thread are putting down his games (I suspect so) but those doing so are looking like idiots in this thread.

It's a Fable title, so I'll believe it when I see it. There is no use getting myself all excited for Fable 2 when I pretty much know that the final product won't live up to the hype. Here's hoping it does though.

I think I would have enjoyed the original Fable a lot more if I hadn't read anything about it before purchasing it. That is one of the rare times where my expectations for a game actually diminished the amount of fun I would have had with it -- Fable was not a bad game in any way, but I was expecting something else and couldn't seem to appreciate it properly for what it was.

I'm trying to avoid that with Fable 2 by not reading much about it, and taking what I do read with a grain of salt. Still, from what little I have seen, I can't help but get my excited about it. It's a vicious cycle...

For the record, I really enjoyed Fable, and it's my favorite game that I own on my Xbox, but it was NOTHING that it was promised. Listening to something promised about Fable 2 before seeing it is like believing a Play Magazine review.

Oh and btw, everything Peter Molyneux does is NOT full of great awesome win. The Black and White games were steaming piles of poo, and lol @ The Movies: Stunts & Effects.
