just wanted to compare some prices and value in the UK and see what you think and let me know what prices your packages are from where you live in the gaming world....let me know....

having looked at a couple of online stores in the uk......i know you can pick up just the console if you want,but these are some packages.....

for what i paid in nov 2007 which was £349......for a 60gb PS3 + resistanceFOM & motostorm you now get...

160gb....fifa 09,smackdown2009,LBP,4 down loadable games GT5P,R&C search for bootie,the last guy and stardust hd......for  £341.....

PS3 80gb with 3 games LBP,UD fortune,saints row 2......£334

PS3 80gb with LBP.....£299...............of course there are other packages in between...

the wii is always £179 with a game.........it seems

and the 360arcade is a £125 .....straight up cheapest and £139 with GOW2
there are other arcade packages...

the 360 60gb is £160 straight up ...to £195 with 4 games....QOS,PGR4,BK nuts & bolts,SSStennis......there are other packages inbetween

the elite 120gb is £210 straight up...to £250 with 3 games PGR4,BK nuts & bolts,SSStennis.......or

elite 120gb £260 with saints row 2 & pro evo 2009
....................£273 with fable 2 & far cry 2 + dvd remote
....................£274 with GOW2 & far cry 2........

oh and at sony.co.uk a PS3 80gb is £289 with LBP.....

i've only checked out a couple of stores and of course i'm sure you can get brand new conoles cheaper on their own...but what price is it...?

plus what do you think about the price difference and value between the consoles.....?

I think the Wii is superb value for money and everyone should buy one. :)

although i haven't got one myself....but obviously i have dabbled,pointed,shook and swung with the wii.....

Ah well all these deals are a lot better than when I got my Playstation 3 on EU release day, £425 for just the console. Same with the Wii which I got late 06 and that cost me about £249 but I did get two games (excluding Wii Sports). My 360 on the other hand, well that is a different story entirely...

so gippon......what was the story on your 360....good price...did you get it at uk launch...?

Erm yeah about my 360, well considering you are from the UK if I am to believe your profile information then you will know about Woolworths and their exit out of the retailing industry... No word of a lie they were dumping 360s into a skip, so of course I got one - with a slightly cracked case, and apart from that it was in good working order. So yeah I doubt it that any deal for the 360 is going to beat what I got my 360 for!

if only i'd known.....i would of hung around the back of my local woolies.....when it closed

i'd say you were pretty damn lucky.......how lucky were you...between an arcade and a elite...?

Oh an Arcade so nothing spectacular, but an Xbox Free60; I am certainly not complaining!
