It definitely wouldn't be in Sony's best interest to issue a price drop anytime within the next 6 months, especially not a large one.

Sony can cut the price if they want. Expect the shareholders to be supremely pissed if they do though.

i have had a PS3 since launch of nov 17. . and the sooner sony lowers
the ps3 is better for them and the gamers that have not gotten one yet.
i bet at E3 they will drop the price sony cant afford a 100 dollar price cut

My friend is,once Sony drops the Price of the PS3 and IF MS drops the price of the 360,then he can finally get a 360,so it works out good for everyone.

The PS3 is last for a reason. I don't expect a price cut to change much. Yes, it will sell more consoles, but it won't suddenly make the PS3 the system to have. That's what software is for, and I personally haven't been impressed with any of the so called must have titles for the PS3.
