Paper Mario: TTYD, ToS, or KH

I agree with the first two but I hated KH.

well I like to think of them in categories that I can't really pick a favorite from

action RPG: Star Ocean 3 (though I hated the story)

turn-based RPG: Persona 4 (perfected the system from 3)

strategy RPG: VC

special mention for fantastic gameplay but not quite the best: Earthbound

edit: if I had to pick one outta those four it would be Persona 4

...

Why are people saying Symphonia?

lmao

If you enjoyed EarthBound, Torillian, I suggest you import Mother 3. It includes the lack of random encounters and the rolling HP counter, but also incorporates a rhythm-based combo system tied into the battle music. It's very deep and highly addicting.

don't own a system to play Mother 3 on I'm afraid, I have tried it out though. Never got a handle on the rhythm based combos

...

It can be a bit difficult to figure out how the rhythms work, exactly, until you put your enemies to sleep - but once you get your first couple down you get a feel for where the beats are in other songs, too.

You would say Persona plays better than Pokemon?

well yes, but I've never liked pokemon after the first so I'm not really the best judge for that.

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 followed by Tales of Symphonia and Vesperia.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^
