Forums - Sales - European Game Sales Aggregate - The Pie Chart!

Hi everyone, I don't think I saw this created yet, but I am wondering what numbers are available that I still do not have.

I'm trying to compile a revenue chart for all of the European + Other markets. I'd appreciate more contributions for the smaller countries. I'd prefer 2007 or 2008 data, but here's what I have so far:

Country         Millions of Euros

UK 5,038
France 3,000
Spain 1,454
Germany: 695
Netherlands 655
Russia  650
Italy 600
Belgium 428
Sweden 280
Denmark 121
Finland 87
Norway 67
Romania

15

As you can see, I'm still missing a bit of data for various European countries...Feel free to add sales (in Euro), and I'll update the list.

From what I know, I'm missing:

Ireland
Portugal
Switzerland
Greece
Poland
Ukraine
Hungary
Czech Republic
Estonia
Latvia
Slovakia
Croatia
Albania

And a few more. Not major markets, but important nonetheless. Any help would be greatly appreciated

UK wins by a country mile :D

You're also missing Australia/NZ, which is a rather significant market compared to some of the others that you listed.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I'm waiting for ADESE 2008 Annual Report which should be released next month to do something similar for Western Europe. You're best off ignoring Eastern Europe as there's hardly any reliable data for it.

Here's 2007 data for now:

It is strange how Germany is that low when you consider that Germany has the most population in Europe.

Killer - population doesn't equal revenue. Video games are a luxury item, so it's only fitting that if you have high population, but low discretionary spending, it causes issues. If we went by population, Russia and the Ukraine should be very high on the list, too.

It doesn't make any sense. I guess the germans are into other things besides games.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Yeah. But if you look GDP per person Germany and UK are pretty much the same. So money is not the problem.
