"Parents are still uninformed about the video game industry,"

I think that sums up the issue entirely. Ignorance on the part of the parents and these groups is not Nintendo's fault and they shouldn't have to take crap for it.

I agree. They should educating parents instead of bashing Nintendo.

We talked the group's actual complaint last week in a thread.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I want Madworld banned, or an attempted ban, because it will sell alot better.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

But if the Family Action Council is allowed to say what kind of videogames go on systems, then they are taking away from my rights to enjoy the kind of games I like. It's the parent's responsibility to watch what their kids have not the industries. If they can't do that, then they need to be sterilized.

All gamers that consider themselves core and own a Wii need to go out and buy No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Madworld, House of the Dead:  Overkill and GTA:  China Town Wars on DS to show that we think these supposed Jesus lovers and latter-day Mccarthyites should shove their plans to moderate videogames so that only products like the Adventures of Jesus and Moses' Mountain are on store shelves up their collective asses.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

Free publicity for MadWorld huzzah!

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

And the Wii isn't the system kids love. Line up a group of 10 to 12 year old boys here in the US and ask them what their favorite games are and they'll say Halo or Gears or GTA or maybe a few will say Killzone 2. But, its their parents and maybe a few girls and college age women that like to play Wii Fit that love the Wii.

I know only one 10 year old boy (family member).  He has a Wii and a DS.  His younger brother has a DS as well.  Neither are interested in a 360/PS3.  My anecdote > your anecdote.

Well, maybe some documentary footage will demonstrate that Halo, Gears, GTA, and Killzone are the games that kids (in particular boys) love the most.

Halo:

 Gears of War:

Grand Theft Auto:

Killzone 2:
