So I have heard much bad from fan of the series.I'm pretty big fan, have played all games I could.
Is it good or is it great?
Compared to Res 4 and others?

Take my love, take my land..

Im a fan of the series and I enjoy RE5 very much. I dont know what others are saying about the controls but they're smooth. (Better than RE4 controls) The setting is different and the zombies are different yes, but to me it still feels like a RE game with a little more action and a little less horror. But I would still highly recommend this game to a fan or not of the series because its just that fun.
If you are an RE4 fan, you'll go nuts for RE5.
I'm trying to like it but Gears of War 2 spoiled me and because of that, RE5's controls seem stale to me, not to mention I'm stuck on Stage 1-1 since I am stuck on that part where a bunch of enemies are trying to kill Chris and Sheva.

You're supposed to run from that part

I tried that before but it didn't work. The only door I could reach at the time was locked.

Turn around from the start of that fight and just book it down the corridor--there's an unlocked door.
