Try going without it for a week.
If you can do it, get shitfaced to celebrate it.
Quem disse que a boca é tua?
Qual é, Dadinho...?
Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

Yes. Just kick it cold turkey, at least for awhile.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
No you're not.
Queen Elizebeth I drunk 2 pints of ale with breakfast every morning.

Just looking at your avatar and your sig.....yes, yes you are. Looking at other avatars, maybe we should start an AAA thread.
| I like Bacon said: Yes you are. I on the other hand, will never drink alcohol, and will never understand why people choose to waste their money like that. |
Oh elitist snobs, what would we do in this world without you all?
@OP-You need to ask yourself whether being an alcoholic is a problem or an endearing quality. Once you figure that out, then it'll be easier to know whether to go full blown or cut back.

Yeah, and did she ever do for anyone? :)
I agree with the other posters who say take a week off, or more.
One time I felt like I was slipping into alocholism, so I took 49 days off. If every time you want a drink you do some push-ups and sit-ups instead, you'll get buff as hell. And since muscles are made out of water, that will increase your tolerance for when you become a drunk again.
I agree with Rubang on doing exercises when you want to drink. It works great if you can cross the initial barrier of doing something different.

I need my own personal Rubang. He always gives such good advice!

| RedHarvest said: I've noticed I drink signifcantly more than my friends (we are students), and I've found I pretty much rely on being semi-drunk before going out to be in a social situation. I also find that I think about drinking/alcohol all day. It really feels like the beginning of an addiction. I don't know, anyone else feel like this? |
Do you go to meetings?
No?, Well then good news! You're not an alchoholic...
You're a drunk!
I always look for a woman who has a tattoo. I see a woman with a tattoo, and I’m thinking, okay, here’s a gal who’s capable of making a decision she’ll regret in the future.
