a very sad ..yet very unspectacular.. unnecessary plot device kinda death

i mean during battles everyone else is mr and mrs bulletsponge and after a full burst of mg fire they are only incacipated and she goes down with one shot .-.

what do you expect.. she's a tank driver. she's not used to gun combat situations... she's delicate... :(

What about the start of the game when she went all ninja with that rifle? She's just a glass cannon apparently.

well yknow.. she got shot while they were in the middle of a conversation, meaning no adrenaline could've been pumping at all. add to that the shock of such a thing happening in such a happy moment..

adrenaline and being in a combat situation actually makes you resist bullet wounds..

(forgive me, i'm just trying to justify the most horrible and saddest death in the history of video games)

i suppose having a heart to heart talk with rosie would give anyone more of a adrenaline rush than even seeing ty the immortal for the 50th time just hope he is in the anime.. he doesent have to do much just be part of it

just trying to see if i can remember any other notible charactres death in a game.. in most cases ..especially jrpgs the person in question is so annoying that you are happy to she or he is finally dead..although oftem enough i waited in vain for someone to finally shut up and die.. for example grandia 2 could have killed of half the cast and i would be delighted

oh wait i got one its not a person but a goat..yes a goat.. sit down have some tee this might take me a while to explain

its from the game terranigma for the snes a zelda esque action adventure part of the game is to first bring plants ,animals and humans back to life by solving the dungeons ..

 the "dungeon" to bring the humans back is in the himalayan mounthains.. on the way up the mountain you get buried by a  avalanche. and reawake inside a cave.. buried below the snow what dragged you inside and safed your life was a goat

now mind you since there are no other humans alive you have the ability to talk to plants and animals without inhaling something that smells like your art teacher first)

with you and the goat inside the cave is the goats mate hes dead and in order to survive the goat suggests to eat his flesh. the next day you discover a part of the ice in the cave is not very thick.. and the goat used its horns like a battering ram to create a opening and rejoices that both of you are saved.. it turns out that the way out is too steep for the goat to climb.and it/she tells you to go on without her and that she is going to find another way out....and when you come back after a while she lies dead next to her "husband" T_T another one in the same game involves 2 of the main npcs you meet during the game stay on a bound to crash airship while you escape with the help of a eagle..and they too tell you to go on without them they will surive it.. the scene cuts with them holding on to each eather waiting for the impact

Eh, I'd say that the certain scene in question did have a point and it was very important device in telling the story.

but it sucked! i hated it so much!... can't it have been another plot device?

 what im saying is .while she got capped she was talking to rosie. so talking to rosie as  a little darscen girl is probably more stress than the entire gallian war ,thus she was always pumped with adreanaline when talking with rosie :P

that was a really lazy reply to my giant wall of text by the way :D

and auron.. i just thought that while during combat the characters are being shot at constantly and soak up bullets like water the scene with her going down in one shot felt odd.. that is all.

but do you think that her death was essential for the way the story would go on? i know its supposed to trigger rosies transformation to something less racist.. but the image of the burned barracks and the girls puppet in the concentration camp would have done the trick just as well
