Wii-Wishes! What I Want From Nintendo in 2009

We all know that 2009 is going to be a GREAT year for Wii owners all over the world. But do we know about everything that's coming in 2009? Definitely not. Plus we all know that us, gamers, are never happy with what we have. So, a guy can wish...

1) More "hardcore" Nintendo IPs make it to Wii.
I know we're getting Punch Out!! and Sin & Punishment 2 but I want F-Zero and the super-MattCassamassinaHyped Kid Icarus Wii!

2) Metroid Dread.
Nintendo can call it whatever they want -- all a guy wants is a WiiWare 2D Metroid title. I loved the Prime series but I cannot wait from a retro Metroid title. A Megaman 9-treatment would be much appreciated Nintendo!

3) Pikmin 3.
Self-explanatory. Do it Nintendo. Here's hoping for an E3 announcement!

4) New, mega, IPs from Nintendo.
Pikmin is the biggest new IP from Nintendo in the last decade. The Wii has yet to get a proper one not in the Wii____ range!

5) Golden Sun 3.
This is a personal favorite. I still want to know what happened to Alex Camelot!!

6) New Retro [EPIC] IP.
By Retro I don't mean old, I mean a Retro Studios IP. The developers behind the Prime series are secretly working on something big. I hope Nintendo do not announce it a couple of months before release only. A new IP needs hype and advertising. Don't let me down Nintendo please!

7) Expect the unexpected.
We all know Nintendo can be very secretive and I am sure they are cooking up something big, controversial and very unexpected. Wait for it.

About number 4...Nintendo has already found their 'new, mega IP' for this gen in WiiSports, which now becomes a franchise with its sequel in the works.

I like the list though and I want Golden Sun 3 too!

This is a pretty good one. Very reasonable and well-toned in its expectations. I would like to see a new IP from EAD, particularly, but they seem to be stretched thin between them, just doing what they're doing

Retro Studios is a given, and it's almost guaranteed that we'll see something of what they're up to this year. It will have been 2 years since Metroid Prime 3, and since Metroid Prime 3's later development cycle was merely a phase of fine-tuning and polishing, they probably had new projects somewhat underway anyway

More retro revivals seem to be the case with Rock n' Roll Climbers, the speculative, or at least spiritual, successor to Ice Climber. Pikmin 3 is also a given. The only things that are iffy are F-Zero (the question is who can they get to do it?) and the new IP (EAD spread thin, like i said)

I for one would like to see the Kirby game finally emerge. HAL Labs themselves had only a minimal role in Brawl's development, and they haven't been doing a damn thing since Superstar Ultra.

 rememebr this is a wish list for 2009,  so hell want an IP that is brand new this year

@Mr Khan, they could have Sega do the next F-Zero considering they did a pretty good job with the GCN version (never saw the Arcade version though which was a bummer because I wanted to try it out and put my GCN memory card into it).

I understand but the author is saying "Pikmin is the biggest new IP from Nintendo in the last decade" which is not true.

Donkey Kong? Wherefore art thou being ignored?

Another Zelda, Mario, Metroid game. A revival of Kid Icarus and a brand new IP that isn't aimed at the casual players.

Pikmin 3 is what I want. Give me this Nintendo and I will forgive you for Wii Music.
