EDIT - DVD/BLU RAY FORUM

As you may all know the ps3 has the Blu ray built in it's an itegral part of the playstation 3. You might say this is a 'gaming site' there is no need for a DvdBlu ray forum but it would be a great addition to the site. A forum where members can discuss movie/dvd/blu ray related news. The benfefits of a movie/Dvd/Blu ray forum would be:

  • Latest Blu Ray news
  • Upcoming Blu ray Movies
  • Member/Mods posting reviews on the quality of Blu ray movies.
  • Game related Blu ray news e.g. Mgs4 takes up all space of the Blu ray disc
  • Blu ray Recommendations
  • Latest Blu ray deals
  • Growth of Blu ray
  • Sales of Blu Ray disc's
  • Newly announced Blu ray movies e.g. Disney Classics
  • Post reviews on classic movies, anime's etc.
  • Reviews on classic Animated movied e.g. Lion King
  • Most Anticipated movies e.g. Transformers 2
  • Share your experience with the latest movies, did it live up to the hype e.g. watchmen etc.

When posting Blu Ray related news is it posted in the Sony Forums or Off Topic?

I think having a Blu Ray dedicated forum is really professional, Vgchartz is a site consistently improving its service to it's community. I personally would appreciate the reviews/feedback of members of this site on the quality of various movies or their experiences, Blu ray is directly linked with the ps3 so having a forum could guide them in their future purchases. I really feel a Blu Ray forum would be a great addition to this great site, something I feel should be looked into.

With moderators being highly respected on the site they could become movie critics. Moderators should post reviews of their favourite movies or latest movies, which really would be interesting and helpful to read.

Which member is on board?

I'm not sure it would be suitable for this site since it's geared towards gaming not just technology in general but maybe someone could open an official blu-ray thread in the sony forums or something

That sounds like a good idea altough there are too many Blu ray related news how would one manage to keep it all in one thread. I think it should be tested to see whether or not the implementation process has been successful.

This sounds like a better idea to me as well. Anime Reviews would be great as well!
