wait, you're talking about Shooters, yet you don't even know about the best Shooters?! (which are all PC games).

Best Multiplayer: Counter-Strike: Source
Best Teamplay: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Best Singleplayer: Deus Ex
Best Design: Half-Life 2
Best Innovation: Portal
Best Graphics: Crysis
Best Physics: Crysis

In my opinion the OP knows nothing about Shooters.

you should not aasociate shooters with the wii

 

this thread is for shooters. Why not? Also Wii has had good shooters. has had good TPS,FPS and rail shooters

 

Sorry had not noticed your post, reason being there are too few shooters on the Wii. With not even a single game ranked over 90+ metacritic. The Nintendo Wii is the home of platformers, shooters is the home of the ps3/360.

 

Excuse if it ain't  at least 90% it isn't worthy of being posted that is plain dumb. You guys don't what a good game is. A game doesn't need 90% to be good.

Then there  is no reason for Metroid Prime 3, medal Of Honor Heroes 2 and Cod 5 wii on here they are all at 80%

 

cod5 is in the list meaning all platforms, but the other games mentioned havent really shaped nor defined the genre.

 

yes they have. motion controls. All those other shooters aren't really revolutionary

 

Killzone 2, halo 3, cod4 etc, all revolutionary online play motion control is not how a shooter is suposed to be played,

 

Wow! all those shooters you named are just past gen shooters that have been updated with better graphics with improved online. Also PC had online gaming first. So, no it isn't revolutionary because online was on the PC first and isn't something new. Excuse me no motion control? You guys talk about how realistic a shooter needs to be but won't let motion controls be allowed since it does add realism but letting you aim the gun. 360 and PS3 may look realisitic but they don't play realistic like the WIi.

I'm sorry but holding a white plastic controller doesn't equal a gun!

Wheres the Metal/wood, triggers, scopes, barrels, kickback, bullets, and gun jamming/overheating? I own guns and I can assure you the Wii does not cut it.

I rather except I'm using a joystick/thumbstick/mouse than pretend a little piece of white plastic is a real gun. This is reality.

Too many new games.

Tribes is probably the most influential multiplayer shooter along with team fortress and quake.

Great contribution, but with the upcoming release of Cod modern warfare 2 do you think Killzone 2 will remain the best shooter this gen?

 

 

if they keep upgrading kz2 it may. They were talking about adding tanks a small week prior to release. That would add a whole new level of gameplay... probably more maps aswell :P

Wiimote doesn't bring more realism in shooters. Only hurt your shoulders after a few hours pointing at the screen. Not fun.

Duke Nukem 3D
Unreal & Unreal Tournament
Alien vs Predator
Deus Ex
System Shock 2

The list of great shooters is endless, I just hope some new innovations are introduced to the genre to prevent things from getting stale.
