The Wii as at 7.9 million right now, but in the midst of a SERIOUS sales drought

 

The PSP is at 11.8 million and enjoying somewhat good sales.

 

Will the Wii ever catch up?

Wii will blow right past it by the end of the year or early next year.

I really don't think the PSP will hold any type of lead against something like the Wii.

It won't.

 

Wii is selling pretty mediocre in Japan. At the looks of it, it's gonna struggle to beat 15M.

 PsP should be close to 15M by the end of 2009. Well, above 14M at least.

Wii won't catch up.... The gap might actually widen in 2009.

It's doubtful, since PSP is still extending the lead week after week, but PSP is and older machine. They will end up pretty close IMO. Depending if Nintendo steps up in their support or not.

If the PSP were to win, then the PSP would have to sell this well forever, and the Wii would have to have this drought forever. Both are possible, but I highly doubt that's what will happen.
