Forums - Gaming - Nintendo, Who are the Fat-Cats Pocketing all of That Profit? Where's the $?

The guy who wrote this is just bitter that he's not getting what he wants. He wants a Pokemon MMORPG, he wanted more characters in Brawl, also if Factor 5 were dead then we would have actually heard about it..

ALSO very important because it hasn't been covered yet:

Nintendo don't buy companies unless they have the same mindset and ideas as Nintendo so that Nintendo themselves aren't polluted I guess with 'Non-Nintendoism' Iwata expressed this idea in an interview in which he stated that Nintendo don't hire many people and don't partner with many other dev teams because he doesn't want Nintendo to lose its magic in a way.

The last point I'd like to make is that Nintendo most likely DID express interest in publishing The Conduit but Sega were the better partners, remember HVS chose from a number of candidates. This was probably due to both marketing budget and also the ability to speak freely with fans and release screens etc.

P.S. About online: I have absolutely no issue with Mario Kart Wii or Call of Duty: World at War and I can even play them when I'm capped at DIAL UP SPEEDS! Pretty good if you ask me!

The only thing I agree with is that friend codes are a barrier of entry and I'm sure Nintendo will fix it for their next home console. They don't bother me though.. but they are a barrier and Nintendo are trying to cut those down so they'll most likely look at that issue

Around the Network

The thing with profit with a publically traded company is that most of the profit gets distributed amongst the shareholders. They're not sitting on billion dollar bank accounts, waiting for stuff to spend their "moniez" on.

@Puffy: Friendcodes a barrier of entry to who? The whole FC system is designed so that there's no barrier of entry for the user, but you still get proper identification.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Allow me to take a moment to laugh at all those who think they know better than Nintendo when it comes to their strategy, which has generated some of the biggest profits and profit margins in the gaming industry ever.

haha exactly what I think!

also, yeah, these random articles are getting boring already. anyway, at least it shows that 3 years later some people are never going to recover from Wii-shock :P

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
