Forums - Sony - Sly Cooper may not see success on the PS3

I don't even know if a Sly Cooper will ever come out, but if it did, I doubt it would be very well received. It doesn't seem like a game PS3 owners would want (anymore).

It would probably fare better on the PSP.

Well, no matter what platform it comes out on, it's getting a sale from me.

and this was based on your in depth research?

Tough to say for sure, but the PS3 does have the oldest user-base in gaming, which would not lend itself to success for a game of this type, and the PS3's install base is alot lower now than when the Sly games were released on PS2, so your theory has merit.

Jak &Daxter Rachet&Clank and Sly cooper are great Sony platformers, R&C can sell still so can Sly cooper

I think only one of the Sly games sold over a million. InFamous should do well, though.

What research?

I just don't think the series would be reacted to in a very large manner.

Why do you say this, Ratchet was well received

Really? Was Ratchets both iterations not well received? Was LBP not well received? Seems to me that this sort of game suits the PS3's casual audience very well.

Ratchet and Little Big Planet have nothing to do with Sly Cooper. Although they all feature light-hearted presentation, they are all in different positions when it comes to how they are viewed by the gaming populace.
