This could be only the tip of the iceberg. For every one pedophile arrested and convicted, there are around 10 others out there.

Besides lurking around shopping centers, parks, etc. Pedophiles also lurk on the internet websites, Chat/Forums, XBox Live and now PSN.

Police are trying there best to apprehend and prosecute the offenders but they can only do so much to protect our children from the evil, twisted, demented child sexual predators

You guys do know that it is estimated that 1 in 4 women are sexually abused by the age of 15, usually by their relatives. That's a US figure. kinda off topic but,..

that really depends on what you call a child... and it wasn't to long ago that it wasn't to irregular for a 11 year old girl to be married off... however I still find it offensive... though it does remind me of that apple pedo perody

I don't see how your arguments lead into friend codes <_< it's like "the guy and the girl are at fault here and oh yeah Wii is not the answer" there's a lot of reasons this sort of thing happens but friend codes wouldn't have hurt in this situation (just to counter your thrown in argument)

Agreed.  I don't know wtf is wrong with him.  It's not the full grown man's fault but the little girl's?  Attitudes like this is what lets these pervs think it's okay to do what they do.  This is the typical 'blame the victim' argument.

parental control system ha.  and how does that work, do the parents put in that she can only talk to other 10-13 year olds, or play with them online.  And how hard would it be to have this 24 year old change his age.

 

or is the parental control ONLY deny kids from playing R, M, or whatever they set rated games.  Cause not sure what Warhawk is rated, but hell if I was a child predator I would go out and buy games like Animal Crossing or Viva Pinata or whatever online games that you would find young kids playing.  (of course can't count animal crossing cuase the Wii has a tough online community to get info and all).  

 

So even if Warhawk was rated M, doesn't mean this 24 year old couldn't have easily found an 11 year old in some other games that are not rated M.  Or if PS3 has a parental control system that lets you only play with those your age, that is even worse than not having that.  Thats liek a field day for predaters, just set their age to 11 and everyone they see is fresh meat for them
