Forums - Gaming - Canival Games (Wii)

So I was in Toys R Us today, and I asked the lady about how sales were doing for the Wii.  They had quite a bit of MP3 games left, but suprisingly she said that she had sold 6 copies of Carnival games just on her shift.  Sleeper Hit???  Has anyone out there bought and played the game?

I havn't but out of curiousity I've been looking for reviews. Most are just by users who bought it, but a couple games sites as well.

Don't look for it to score terribly well with the critics - Nintendo Power gave it 70/100 and I expect that'll be the norm. But regular users are scoring it very highly repeatedly mention the addictive fun game-play of many of the games (some are better than others). Seems they captured what made Wii Sports a success.

Plus the price is right. Definitely a potential sleeper hit. I'm waiting for a few more reviews (IGN) but I'll probably pick this up myself.

I'm willing to bet it's more like a Toys R Us hit... I doubt it will do much better than 100K first week.

We only sold 1 copy of carnival games, and all 14 of MP3. Still, I see a potential for carnival games to have legs for the holiday season.

i mentioned on the metroid sales thread... that i went to gamestop, target, and best buy, all sold out of carnival games, and i ended up getting the last copy from gamestop.

unfortunately, that copy seems kind of defective, so i had to go to a different gamestop to exchange for--gasp--their last copy.

surely, everybody underestimated demand.

How is the game?  I hear it is appealing and fun; much like wii sports was.

it is fun; haven't gone through everything yet. played with my wife, but we got fed up after it crashed like 3 times, which is why we need to do an exchange. have yet to try the replacement copy.

let me put it this way; not warioware good, but better than mp8.

I have carnival games. Look for my thread if you want a mini review.

I work for a major chain. I am also glad that I recently sold my stock.

We are up to 3 copies sold of brunswick out of 4. I have some money coming this week and am thinking about Carnival games, but I would really like Mp3 to show up again.
