As I recall, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was first announced at GDC 06.

You sure it wasn't 07? Resistance: FoM was the big one for 06 if my memory serves me correctly.

I'm thinking the new one will be announced too though...I think Ted Price is going....I can't wait. Even if it's a "TBC@e3" move then I'll even ask for the day off to see Sony's conference at e3. x.o

 

 

Actually, it was E305.  It was one of those "OMG Amazing" videos they showed and everybody assumed was CGI like Killzone 2.  Only it wasn't.

Then it was "officially" announced as Future: Tools of Destruction in April, 2007.

I don't think Insomniac have announced too many their titles at GDC, thoguh they are usually announced in Spring, but I have a feeling they'll announced R&CF2 there this year, with the game featured as a cover story for the April edition of some big magazine.

Well, the biggest I can remember were LBP in 2007.

Along with Home. But LBP is the best game this generation, and that announcement was freaking awesome.  When I saw it, I was like "Woah..."  combined wiht "Aww..."

Really, that announcement presentation explained the game better than anythign else I've seen, and when people were all like "What is LBP about, anyway?" before release, I always linked them that and they would finally understand.
