Meh, people like to say Yuri's the best main character ever far too much for my taste. I thought he was a cool personality and pretty eye candy, but a boring back story and dull character development if there was any. He just made the rest of the cast better with his personality, but his development could have been better.

I like Yuri, though.

I don't think its yuri's back story that has people all over him.

Then what is? Yuri has a great personality and is a great fighter but if was not for the things he did he would not have gotten the praise he's getting.

People like yuri because he's a badass and looks cool.

His back story is basiclly: he's an ex knight that grew up in the lower quarters, and he quit because he didnlt like how the knights did things. That's it.

People would love yuri no matter what his back story was because he's cool.

No it's not. The why Yuri enforced his own justice through out the game was his back story. If it was not for his back story people would not think Yuri was a badass.

Thats not his backstory. Thats just his 'story'. Backstory is what happens BEFORE the events of the game.

His backstory is what Riot said though, and frankly its amazing because of how simple yet poetic it is. I thought Yuri was the most badass Tales character way before he murdered those two. When he did it it just reaffirmed what I thought
