Luke is the best of those mentioned. He had some character development, pretty nice. Yuri Lowell is ok, and LLoyd isn't overated because no one likes him.

Luke had a great character development but Yuri has the better personality and a much deeper and relatable back story. And your wrong alot of people like Llyod which is ok because he was a good character but Yuri by far is the best out of the three.

I'll just go with the majority here and say Sephiroth.

I mean, he's not exactly horrible since he actually has character (development) and a prominent place in the story which immediately puts him way above placeholder bosses like ExDeath, and he was a decently entertaining fight in the KH games, but come on.

Just because Nomura worships him as his personal god doesn't mean everyone else should.

Actually, Chaos from FF3 is worse. And that's only because ExDeath actually does SOMETHING during the story, Chaos is just there. Kinda like the final boss from FF9, actually.

The funny part is that the title implies only one character, and there have been several whom have said both Cloud and Sephiroth.  Which is what offended me even further to post in this topic. 

But if i had to post who I think is the most overrated jrpg character of all time, it would be pikachu.

I'm talking about both, because one influences the other, there are better pokemons (in every way) in the game and yet, Pikachu is the most discussed one, the most loved one, etc. and the anime didn't help the cause, the anime focused so much on Pikachu and that influenced a lot of the game fans that followed the anime...
