Forums - Nintendo - wii is doomed theory: it wont sell becuase all its games are the same

BladeOfGod said:
Wii sold 48 million ( 47.98 million but lets make it simple) and PS2 sold about 149 million. but i don't think Wii is gonna outsell PS2. PS2 never stopped selling good till 2007, but Wii is already slowing down, because it doesn't have any good software to boost it besides Madworld.

And even if wii manage to sell another 50 million in 3 years it would be 100 million and than wii sales will starting to slow down very fast, and wii would probably sell 140 million in the end of its life cycle.

But than again, this is just my predicting, it can go much worse or much better for wii

Jan 1st - 15th March 2006 - 0 sales

Dec 31 - Mar 10 2007 - 2.27 million

Dec 30 - Mar 8 2008 3.04 million

Dec 28 - Mar 7 2009 4.28 million

Look at that, huge slowdown. It's almost negative sales by this point

same old same old.....they been saying this stuff since launch......the media desperately wants the wii to crash and burn but it won't. I was in gamestop yesterday, trust me the wii isn't going anywhere

This guy should be comparing Wii to DS really because that system is certain to pass the PS2 in 2-3 years time.. Oh look! Wii is selling faster than DS!

Also thank you scottie for saving me the effort of correcting the fanboy.

Don't you just love it when people make silly statements.

Slowing down... silly!

people don't realise that the wii has similar games.

imo nintendo should quit making consoles and just make wii-motes which connect onto the ps3/360, and then ninty should develop all those games for those consoles using that wii-mote. the wii has some good games but the games are not worth buying a seperate console imo

The Wii has many, many innovative and different styles of game. Your comment makes no sense in the light of Boom Blox, Tiger Woods 10, EA Tennis, House of the Dead, Mad World, Wii Music, Wii Fit, Skate It, Shaun White, Pro Evolution 2009, Mario Galaxy, Bully, CoD WaW, Conduit, Wario Land, Animal Crossing, Guitar Hero, Okami, Wii Sports, Zelda, Zack and Wiki, World of Goo, Megaman 9, Lost Winds and so on and so forth. Those games are high quality and extremely varied in their styles, control methods and gameplay. I've never owned a machine with so much variety in such a short period.

hm, ever think about keeping your opinion to yourself?   Your opinion implies that you suddenly had this realization but of course you didn't, you're just jelous that your inferior pet console is being shoved aside in favor of what you thought was inferior.  Don't worry your choice has nothing to do with why we think you're inferior.  We just do.  Sorry.

I do love TheGamerAccess. They're the most forthright of any of the larger outlets in their doubt of and dislike for the Wii.

Honesty is refreshing.
