Forums - Gaming - Top 4 Most Expensive Mistakes in The Gaming History

@Chrizum - Because PS3 is selling well for it price point and it isn't a mistake :P

@hatmoza - That's a good question, it should have been a top 10 list imho.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

My question is, where is Virtual Boy? I am sure that VB was a very expensive mistake for Nintendo.

i was thinking the exact same thing

I started making videos for youtube; check them out.

Systems owned: Atari 2600, NES(3), Top loader NES, Yobo NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Gamegear, Sega Nomad, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Playstation 2, Wii, PS3 (slim 120 GB), Wii U

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

I was thinking the Sega 32x, myself.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

lol @ thee keyboard/console !

@above - How could the PS3 be on the list if we don't even know anything about how it will turn out? I think you need to lose money on something before it is considered a mistake. PS3 sales are nowhere close to a halt and Sony is about to break profit. For all we know the company could actually go into the positive with the console.

4) Shenmue

According to the economists at IGN.com the game's final production cost was over $70,000,000.

Stupid article.

Should be titled "Obscure game industry mistakes that amuse me."

Interesting list. Number 2 and 3 were new to me.

"Despite this they went on to release Shenmue 2, proving that we should really stop giving Sega our money"

Proving what?

How is Shenmue 2 proof that we should not have given Sega our money?

We are not talking about "the club" here, were talking about the Almighty Shenmue 2

What a prick.

Shenmue 3 is one of the if not THE most requested games amongst true Sega fans.

I used to love playing the SwordQuest games, tho some of them were hard as hell, if not downright confusing. Of course, I was like 8 when I played them
