Forums - Microsoft - Another lawsuit over lost Xbox 360.

http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/41710/118/

Chicago (IL) - Flying from New Haven, CT to Cincinnati, OH is a short flight. Still, that short jaunt from one place to another turned poor Yale student Jesse Maiman's life upside down and sending him into emotional distress. His sweet, dear, irreplaceable Xbox 360 (with a very specialized hard drive and other components) disappeared from his checked luggage. Yes, I said it, his checked luggage.

If you're like me, you're definitely thinking "what was his Xbox doing in his checked luggage, and not in his carry-on bag?" But Maiman belives the lost Xbox 360 with special components is worth $1000. However, he intends to sue the airline for $1 million.

Why do you say "another"? This is the same lawsuit that got posted yesterday.

Ha! I used to work at the Cincinnati airport (worked there from Jan. '07 through Aug. '08 for Comair, part of Delta). US Air barely ever flies into there - they've only got like ten ramp employees (baggage handlers, etc) max at that airport.

So if it disappeared here on our end, there are only a very few people they need to investigate.

I don't know anything about New Haven.

However, lost property in checked baggage is typically only insured up to a couple thousand dollars max, and by checking your baggage, you agree to these terms. So he can't sue for anything more than the insurance covers.

Edit: Ah, the article mentions that. Federal law limits it at $3,300.

wow thats ridiculous. I hope he loses because asking for 1 million is alot for an xbox no matter how many awesome components it has in it. And i highly doubt its worth a thousand bucks. U can buy a 500 GB HDD for less than $200.

Long Live SHIO!

How many times will those story get posted?
