Forums - Sony - Sony pulls 300 Killzone 2 adverts from bus shelters in Toronto

There is nothing wrong with it, just what it is promoting....

Imagine a similar Left4dead campaign or... dead space...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

or Gears of war 2 or madworld...what about CoD? They didn't get promoted with roses, rainbows and puppies.

Where do you draw the line?

That's just box art. Eitherway, maybe it's more like this one:

@Sardauk
It's a bus shelter, not inside the school on the walls. There are movie posters everywhere for 15 and 18 certificate films no one complains, I've seen trailers for Watchmen on TV before UK watershed during a popular family show, that's an 18 film.

Would you remove a big billboard ad just because it might be seen by a kid in a car?

Hmm, pie.

Same remarks, those aren't LBP or Flowers...

IMO you don't... you have to use specialized media for that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not for censorship.. it is just that the publicity company is not very clever by using this kind of display...

so media with mature content shouldn't be mass marketed...understood

it's only a pic of an helghast.that's it.

she is actually pretending that helghasts are from iraq or something.

Lame.

Read between the line please...

No matter how her response is right or not.. ;you don't promote such things in public spaces... in america

fixed. Here its not a problem.. All stores has it on their.. alarm things. Blockbuster has it on the outside of the store.. the wall is covered in a more scary version than that poster. ... It's not an issue.

@fury

no,,I live in canada ,,,i see the ads in bus stops every day ,,,,it's the one i posted(basically the game's cover art)

That's my city! What a fucking whore! I guess I wont see those adds when I am going to work and stuff anymore. It's too bad I'd always give out a little howl when I saw one.

Political correctness run amok (when isn't it?). Maybe they'll be forced to advertise on TV the way they should be. I live in Newfoundland and I have never seen a Killzone 2 ad ever (with the exception of the Internet). I have a friend who enjoys FPS games and has a PS3 and he didn't even know that Killzone 2 was out. Attn. Sony: put ads on TV, don't confuse customers, ignore PC whining.
