This seems stupid. I went to Amazon to go find you guys a deal (Resident Evil 10th Anniversary Collection) I remember for the Gamecube which packaged Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 all together for 29.99 and then found out Capcom took it off the market. I guarantee it was so they could sell these for exorbitent prices.

That was a temporary GameStop (and EB which GS now owns) exclusive.  It's discontinuation is unrelated to the new games.  It was also $39.99, not $29.99.

You can buy a copy on Amazon but expect to pay far more than these titles individually.

New - $299
Used - $140

How do you know it's unrelated? I've noticed the PS2 three pack is still available. I'm not saying it's definitly connected but judging by the PS2 pack still being on the market it definitly swings heavily in that direction. Do you have any proof it's not because you seem awfully sure of it.

Resident Evil: The Essentials (RE4/Code Veronica X/RE Outbreak) was released in late 2007 but was not a limited edition with retailer exclusivity like RE 10th Anniversary Collection was.

I know the discontinuation is unrelated because I talked to Capcom about the collection back when they released it.  It was designed as a short run only.

What exactly do you do? I'm a stock/sales manager at Ralph Lauren and a part time cook at a physical rehab center and I've never talked to Capcom about anything. Somehow our paths have never crossed.

I'm the EIC for a video game network. Don't ask which. I like keeping my profile low as I can say things much more openly without them coming back to bite me.

Nah I don't need to know specifics. What's an EIC though? I only know that to mean earned income credit.

The difference between these cheap cash-ins and Nintendos cheap cash-ins is that the Nintendo games actually use the Wiimote (as well as a couple small extra features). Use the IR or motion, unlike simply remapping buttons onto Wiimote/nunchuk.

Editor In Chief.

Though I like your acronym too.  EIC doubled my tax return.

Basically Capcom is just making rehash old ports and adding Wii-mote controls to make it seem like they are supporting the Wii, but in reality they aren't helping the slightest bit.

This seems expected to me.

Just keep bringing the ports. Capcom hasn't released anything"new" on the Wii besides the Dead Rising port in more than a year.

I've owned these games already so they don't appeal to me, but don't expect anything added besides widescreen guys.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Widescreen isn't even added...
