Still never played the first, as much as I wanted to.

If they actually spent some *real* time on this, and turned it into a real adventure - it could be a truly awesome game.

Again (just like with RE:OnRails) - I don't care so much about the "on-rails" bit, as much as I do about exploring areas more than once. It should be more of an adventure/action-RPG, than an linear/action-RPG.

The first game was average, i won't be playing the sequel. Basically it's on rails but they make u level up & buy equipment to get stronger. This makes u have to do the same stages over & over again. It's a gimmick to make the game feel longer.

I'm not a huge on rails guy, but i prefer a traditional on rails game to this any day. On rails games just weren't meant to be played in this fashion.

How would HD be perfect for a series that is known for long development, when HD is known to make games take even longer?

I would also love to see a DQ on either ps3/360, although I'm not against another game for Wii.

It doesn't make any sense for an all-time great series like Dragon Quest to left in the dust by stuff like Star Ocean 4 or Vesperia... I'd rather take 1\10 of the sales it would it would get on the DS and Wii for it to be on a console that will produce the better game.
