Capcom's Monster Hunter series is a whole economic institution and cultural wave in Japan. The forth coming Wii game is promises epic online multiplayer co-op battles. It is more like World of Warcrack on Wii than Pokemon.
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom
Oh man if there is one game that I hope Capcom of America is able to release over in the US this is it. It is a mash-up 2d/3d fighting game with Capcom characters facing off a Japanese animation studio Tatsunoko costumed heroes. It is the spiritual successor to the Marvel Vs Capcom games.

A still pretty brutal and bloody port of Capcom's quintessential zombie in a mall apocalypse game.
Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars
Mushroom Men was a sleeper cult hit. The darker Psychonauts like vibe make it a darker alternative to Mario and Sonic.
House of the Dead: Overkill
Sega popped open a can of 1970s inspired whoopass with this no where near the top over the top violent zombie shooter.
No More Heroes
This is one of the first over the top Wii games to take advantage of the Wii Remote and try to see the Wii as a unique game platform that is not just meant for kids. Plus killing people for money is fun. Travis Touchdown actually has a collection of plastic anime models. That is pretty otaku.
Godzilla Unleashed
No day of playing games with my pal BBQ is complete without throwing it down with some Godzilla games. When I say throwing it down I mean buildings.
Mega Man 9
Capcom made a old school make your hands bleed hardcore hard Wii Megaman game that is unapologetic in making gamers cry and hands cramp. Yes it is supposed to be this hard.
Bully: Scholarship Edition
While we don't really have a Grand Theft Auto game on the Wii Bully is a Rockstar developed look at a middle school. It might be PG-13 compared to GTA but playing Bully is still pretty hardcore.
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
The Gamecube game remade on the Wii. This is the game that influenced Gears of War and the modern over the shoulder action with contextual interaction concept. Plus it has shooting Spanish zombies.
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins
Ninjas, sneak around, avoid being seen and brutally kill dudes without even thinking about it All with Wiimote action.
